Where it began

This Started In A Dentist’s Waiting Room, Absolutely Skint.

I’m Scott McKay, and I’ve generated over £4,000,000 in online education sales.

None of it would have happened if I hadn’t been sat in a dentist’s waiting room in 2015, with my last thousand pounds in a sock at home.

I was watching a guy on Groupon sell two thousand training programmes at £59.

That was the day it clicked. I was selling hours. He was selling knowledge.

So I took the thousand out of the sock, bought a Mac and taught myself everything. Websites. Ads. Checkout pages. Email.

My first proper month online was £20,000.

Over the years that followed, that business served more than 4,000 clients and passed £4 million in sales.

I went so far down the tech rabbit hole that I became a software engineer and studied cybersecurity.

Which is exactly why the tech side of ODT is boring. It just works, and you never have to think about it.

But…

I was a dog trainer before any of that, and I never stopped being one.

Today I’m NEPOPO® Gold, I train all over Europe, and I run this exact model with dogs: 300 clients across five countries, from our two-acre training ground in Suffolk.

I’ve built the business where I sold my time. And the business where I sold what I knew.

I know exactly what it costs to work out the difference on your own, because I did.

Online Dog Trainer Business exists so you don’t have to.

The big lie

There Are Only Two Models. You’re Running The First One.

We’ve been told that if you want to earn more, you need more clients. More one-to-ones. More classes. More Saturdays stood on the field. Somewhere along the way, we all swallowed it.

But your clients stopped believing that years ago. They’re on YouTube at midnight trying to fix recall. They’re in Facebook groups taking training advice from people they’ve never met. The only people still acting as though dog-training knowledge has to be delivered face to face… are the trainers.

The old model

Every pound has an hour of your time.

Everything is capped inside a twenty-mile circle drawn round your house. You bolt on group sessions and pack walks to squeeze more out of the week, and the ceiling hasn’t moved — it’s just got more people standing under it.

I’ll tell you straight: if you haven’t got enough clients in that circle now, you never will.

The new model

Take what you know. Put it online.

Package what you know around a result somebody wants. Same knowledge, same standards, same you — delivered by a system instead of a diary.

Your prices go up, not down: people pay for the outcome, not the hour.

That’s the whole change. Here’s what it does to a week.

The same week, run two ways

The old model
The ODT model
You earn when you are stood on the field
You earn while the dogs are asleep
A cancellation costs you the slot and the money
A cancellation costs you nothing
Your work stops at the edge of your postcode
Your work reaches anyone searching for what you fix
A holiday means a month of no income
A holiday means the same income
Every new client is another Saturday gone
Every new client is the same work you already did
Growth means more hours, and you have run out
Growth means more people through the same programme

And if you love the one-to-one — keep it. In person, for the clients you choose, at higher prices. That’s the point: every hour on the field becomes a choice, not a mortgage payment.

Check your phone. If a client’s ever messaged you at nine o’clock at night about a loose lead, you’re already running an online dog training business. You’re just not charging for it.

The maths

Six Figures Is Smaller Than You Think.

You don’t need a million followers. You need three small numbers — and you probably already know more people than this.

Every number here is editable — put yours in. Nothing is saved or sent.

01 · A course

people buy it a month — priced on the outcome, not the hour

£one-off
= — a month
02 · A membership

members paying monthly, because they stay

£a month
= — a month
03 · Coaching

clients at a time, video-review coaching

£a month
= — a month
That adds up to
— a month

— a year

Your numbers, not ours. This is arithmetic on the figures you enter above — it isn’t a projection, and it isn’t typical of any particular trainer.

What ODT actually is

ODT Builds Your Online Dog Training Business With You.

Twelve months. My team and me. We don’t explain the machine — we install it.

Every single month you’re on a private 1:1 call with me. Every week there’s a live business workshop, and a tech surgery — bring the problem, leave with it fixed. Accountability on the plan we agree.

Between calls there’s Backstage, your private workspace with me: a direct line, tasks and resources dropped straight into your space, your progress tracked in one place.

Your platform, website, checkout, course area and emails are installed by our in-house team from our templates, with your brand on them. You never start from a blank screen.

The playbooks are the full ODT course, step-by-step, click-by-click. Your offer, priced and positioned. The Facebook group playbook. The exact words for the DMs. The sales pages and scripts. Onboarding and delivery.

Every ODT trainer is in one room — the ODT Community online, and in person at our base in Suffolk, a two-acre training ground.

First, your first online client. Then £1,000 months, £3,000, £5,000 — and for the trainers who keep going, the next room: Inner Circle, then Partners.

One Platform, One Login — And You Don’t Even Build It.

Your website, checkout, course area and emails are installed from our templates with your brand on them. Our in-house team builds it and manages it for your twelve months in Launch.

  • Your platform included and fully managed — no software to buy
  • Website and landing pages — built
  • Checkout and payments — connected
  • Course area — installed
  • Emails and automations — wired in
  • You never start from a blank screen

Your online business only needs to do three things: take the money, deliver the training, look after the customer. We build the machine. You add the expertise.

Not techy? You don’t need to be — that’s the point of the build. If you can send a WhatsApp video, you can do every part of this that’s actually your job.

The three circles are what you build. The ring is what’s included. The middle is the point.

This is the model I run today with 300 clients in five countries — and it’s the model every ODT trainer builds.

I built it in 2015 with a thousand pounds and a Mac. It went on to do over £4 million in online education, serving 4,000+ clients.

When I came back to dogs I ran exactly the same machine — offer, clients, delivery. It did exactly the same thing: 300 clients across five countries, from a two-acre training ground in Suffolk.

Every trainer who applies is taken through the machine on their free 90-Day Map call. Your corner of the dog world, what’s working, what’s OK, and what’s actually in the way — so we fix the right thing first, not everything at once.

Three parts, built in this order. None of them start with a website.

How it’s built

The Machine Has Three Parts.

01

Your Offer

“Where do I even start?” Not with a website, and not with content. With the offer: exactly who you help and what you sell them — before you record a single video. Four slots, one sentence, and your whole business snaps into focus. We price it and position it with you on day one — so everything you build after has one job: selling it.

02

Your Clients

“Sure — but how do I actually get clients?” Not with ads, and not by dancing on TikTok. Your buyers are already gathered in Facebook groups, asking for help at nine o’clock at night. You don’t build an audience — you borrow one. Borrowed audience › value › hand-raise › DM › call › client. We show you which groups, what to post, when to invite the hand-raise, and the exact words for the DMs.

03

Your Delivery

“And how do I deliver it without living on Zoom?” One platform, one login — and you don’t even build it. You record what you know once, and the machine delivers it for you — while you’re on the field with the dogs. Your clients get a better result than an hour a week could ever give them. And you stop selling hours.

First client. Then again, and again — until getting clients stops feeling like luck and starts running like the machine it is.

Our programmes

Launch. Inner Circle. Partners.

A trainer with no online clients and a trainer doing £8,000 months don’t need the same room — so there are three, and we take you through them.

You don’t need to decide which one. The 90-Day Map call does.

ODTLaunch

ODT Launch(0 > £5k/month)

This is where it all starts.

You’re a professional dog trainer — any discipline. Pet dog, gun dog, IGP, agility, behaviour — if someone pays you to solve a problem with their dog, this fits. Fully booked and capped, part-time and pushing, or starting from scratch.

Your first goal isn’t a £5k month. It’s to prove this works: your first paying online client. Something changes when that first payment lands — it goes from “a nice idea” to “this is a real business now”. Then you do it again, and again.

And no — you don’t quit anything first. Most of our trainers build this around a fully-booked diary or a day job.

Twelve months. My team and me. What’s installed:

  • Private 1:1 calls with me every single month
  • Live weekly business workshop, and tech surgeries — bring the problem, leave with it fixed
  • Your platform, website, checkout, course area and emails — built and managed for you
  • The full ODT course, Backstage, and the ODT Community
ODTInner Circle

ODT Inner Circle(£5k > £10k/month)

You’ve proven owners will pay you online. You’re past £5k months — and tired of how much the income swings from one month to the next.

Here the conversation shifts from getting clients to building a business that runs without you:

  • Predictable client acquisition, not random enquiries
  • Recurring income under every client, so the month starts above zero
  • Your first hire, so you stop being the bottleneck
  • Full visibility over your numbers, not guesswork

A different curriculum, a smaller room of trainers on the same wavelength about consistent £10,000 months — and in-person events at our base in Suffolk, a two-acre training ground.

ODTPartners

ODT Partners(£10k/month and up)

This is invite only.

Partners isn’t designed as someone’s first step into ODT — it’s something you work toward.

It’s for trainers who are earning a minimum of £10,000 a month and looking to scale to £100,000+ months and hit the cliché ‘seven figures’.

At this stage, it’s all about becoming a Partner. From leadership to operations. From strategy to decision making.

In Partners, you switch from having access to me — to working directly with me.

You also become part of an even tighter-knit community of other Partners, and you’ll be invited to private dinners as part of the in-person events.

Before you apply

Who ODT Is For.

It’s for you if…

  • You’re a professional dog trainer — any discipline. Pet dog, gun dog, IGP, agility, behaviour — if someone pays you to solve a problem with their dog, this fits.
  • You’ve got real knowledge and you’re ready to build around the job you already have.
  • You’re fully booked and capped, part-time and pushing, or starting from scratch — all three are exactly who this was built for.

It isn’t for you if…

  • You’ve never trained a dog that isn’t your own.
  • You want money without building anything.
  • You expect the programme to do the work for you. We build the machine with you — but it’s your knowledge, your name, and your graft that make it a business. We turn away people who don’t fit, because the room only works when it’s full of real trainers doing real work.

Ready To Find Your Next Stage?

How long have you already been thinking about this? Three months? Six? A year? Six months from today is coming whether you start or not.

There’s no buy button on this site. That’s deliberate — this starts with a conversation, not a checkout.

Tell us what you train and what’s in the way. If it’s a fit, we start building — if it isn’t, you keep the map.
